The Swimming Pool & Spa
Association of Victoria has its own source of groundwater for the
filling of pools during stages 3, 3A & 4 water restrictions. Our aquifer is saline and as such is an ideal source of water for swimming pools. Pool owners should ensure they use water appropriate for swimming pools - government water restrictions ban "drinking water" to fill pools - see more HERE.
SPASAs water is balanced for pools, does not impinge on drinking supplies, is located close to Melbourne (making delivery more affordable) and is the most environmentally responsible pool water on the market today. Do the right thing - ask for SPASAWater by name!
To order SPASAWater call one of our authorised carriers: Statewide Water: 9749 3789, Vogue Waterwerx: 1800 135 158 or Raven Water Transport: 9749 5501
The association’s alternate water supply is comparable to any within
the water market today. SPASAWater does not access potable supplies – so if you want
to use the most eco-responsible supply, use SPASAWater.
Secondly, a major advantage that SPASAWater has over other
alternate filling providers is that the association’s source is balanced
for pools. Remember, all water needs to be balanced to a Neutral
Langelier scale reading. Water from the tap - or from
spring water bores - requires the addition of:
> Sodium Bicarbonate to increase the T.A.
(Total Alkalinity)
> Calcium Chloride (or Calcium Sulphate) to increase the hardness
> Hydrochloric acid to balance the pH and in the case of salt
chlorinated pools, Sodium Chloride needs to be added.
SPASAWater arrives on site with these balance factors already
adjusted, and with 2500 ppm salt level already included. Only minor
adjustments need to be made at pool-side. All SPASA members
are able to access this water for the filling of their clients pools.
