Show Linkedin ImageIn addition to the already jam-packed schedule, two of Australia’s sporting stars, AFL Legend Campbell Brown and Netball Champion Madison Robinson will go head to head in a test of speed and endurance; not on the field, or on the court, but in a swim spa.

Brown and Robinson will face off against each other in a Swim Spa Celebrity Challenge Swim being sponsored by Leisurescape Spas, supporting child safety charity, Kidsafe Victoria.

Show attendees can watch the ex-AFL champ and sports commentator attempt to beat netball’s brightest star in a series of swim offs on Saturday 6 February between 11am and 3pm.

Following the well-received 'A Lifetime of Memories' pool sector ad, SPASA is excited to present a brand new ad for our spa sector members.

The ad comes as a result of the recent announcement that we're investing in a comprehensive PR campaign promoting the benefits of pool & spa ownership, and using a SPASA member.

The ad, capitalizing on Melbourne's unpredictable weather, is based on the concept of ‘Four Seasons in One Day’ and sells the idea of a spa being an all year round luxury. It features a family enjoying their spa in all four different weather conditions.

The ad will feature the 'Lifetime of Memories' tagline to keep momentum going and connect viewers to the pool sector ad previously screened.

This ad will be aired across all television networks in the lead up to the 2016 Pool & Spa Show. Keep an eye out for it!

Following several member and consumer enquiries about the obligations of Owner Builders, the Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Victoria (SPASA) the sole industry peak body, urges consumers to closely read the following information in the lead up to the summer season.

Kit pools installed by unregistered pool builders can leave homeowners with expensive legal bills, warranty, OHS & insurance issues.

As summer approaches, the VBA is reminding building practitioners of their obligations when building, installing or renovating a swimming pool, spa or safety barrier.

In Victoria, construction and installation of swimming pools, spas and safety barriers are subject to strict requirements under the Building Regulations 2006, which detail mandatory requirements to meet the Australian Standards.
